Preschool
Hours
The BRUMC Preschool program is a part time program for children ages 3 to 5. You choose Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday for your child based on availability, and the program runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm with the option of early care from 8:00am to 9:00am for an extra fee of $5.00.
Cost
There is a $110 registration fee, and then the program is $150 per month. There is a discount if you sign up two children. We provide a light morning snack for the children, and you would provide a lunch.
Objectives
Our preschool teachers work very hard to prepare their classes for kindergarten. The program has a letter, or theme, each week. The children learn how to write the letter of the week, what that letter "says", and what starts with that letter. Each teacher takes their own approach to this, but at the end of the year, the children in each class are knowledgeable about their alphabet.

We also emphasize the development of fine motor skills by helping the children learn how to use scissors, properly hold a pencil, and many other activities that assist in the development of fine motor skills.

The program is blessed to have chapel time in the sanctuary twice a month with one of the church leaders. Each month we focus on a different fruit of the spirit, and during chapel time, we build on this focus with the church pastor or one of the other church leaders.

Our preschool classes have access to a large playground, as well as a gym facility with tricycles and balls. We go outside when possible, but if it is too cold or raining, we use the gym.
